Back at the beginning of December I helped out a West Melton Playcentre group raise funds by providing my photography services to get some memorable family portraits.
Though I didn't know much of how the day was going to run nor seeing the property which the sessions were to be photographed on, it turned out great. After it all, I realised I shouldn't have worried. There was nothing to worry about.
The shoot was held at one of the Mum's properties in West Melton. Wow. It was a stunning location - almost like it should be used for wedding photographs! The day was set for the first family to have their photos at 0945 and last at around 1430. Families filed in and out in 15 minute slots throughout the day. Everyone I met was so wonderful and energetic. The children did fantastic. They all got their smiley faces on for the camera. Such a great experience taking photos of children playing and well...being children!
This was my second big gig behind doing my 1st wedding. Calming the nerves was easier this time. I was doing my own set up. Taking my own time. I had all day with my camera doing what I love doing. Taking photos!
The day went smoothly and overall, it is possibly the best job I have done so far. Fingers crossed there will be another next year.
Everyone so far has loved all their photos which is hugely pleasing to hear the great feedback from families.
Thank you West Melton Playcentre!
